As a triathlete and runner, Melissa understands the importance of a fast recovery and injury prevention. Her treatment methods include a variation of manual therapy, joint mobilizations, and exercise rehabilitation. She believes in providing an integrated model which educates and motivates her patients on methods to achieve a pain-free and active lifestyle.
She holds post doctoral education in the treatment and recognition of sports injuries. Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians® must complete over 100 hours of post doctoral education in specialized sports medicine topics and pass a sports medicine board examination. Secondarily, she is Webster Technique certified, a technique for treating pregnant women that allows for a pain-free and active pregnancy.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her husband and Golden Retriever, Leo. She loves being embedded in the sports performance world by triathlon and marathon racing.
